First Nations at the Musée du Quai Branly: A New Exhibition to Discover This Autumn from Hôtel Alizé Grenelle

This autumn, the Musée du Quai Branly – Jacques Chirac invites visitors on a fascinating journey to North America. From September 29, 2026 to January 17, 2027, the exhibition First Nations: Arts and Cultures of the Northwest Coast of North America highlights the artistic and spiritual richness of the Indigenous peoples of the Northwest Coast. It is an ideal cultural outing during a stay at Hôtel Alizé Grenelle.

Discover the Arts of the First Nations

Across nearly 1,800 kilometres of coastline and around forty languages, the First Nations of the Northwest Coast have developed artistic traditions closely connected to their history, beliefs and environment.

The exhibition presents this art as a true sacred language. Animal figures, extraordinary beings and spirits can be found on heraldic poles, masks, clothing, houses and everyday objects.

The Raven, regarded in several traditions as a creative and ancestral figure, holds a particularly important place within this symbolic world.

In October, the museum also complements the exhibition with guided tours, family activities and cultural events, offering visitors the opportunity to explore these traditions in greater depth.

A Cultural Escape from Hôtel Alizé Grenelle

Located in the 15th arrondissement, close to Beaugrenelle and the Eiffel Tower, Hôtel Alizé Grenelle is an excellent starting point for visiting the Musée du Quai Branly.

After the exhibition, continue your visit with a stroll through the museum’s garden, head towards the banks of the Seine or admire the nearby Eiffel Tower.

Combining cultural discovery with a Parisian walk, First Nations is a wonderful opportunity to enrich an autumn stay in Paris while discovering one of the major cultural events of the 2026 season.

Practical information: the exhibition runs from September 29, 2026 to January 17, 2027 at the Musée du Quai Branly – Jacques Chirac, 37 Quai Branly, Paris 7th arrondissement.
